Translation Chatki doesn't have
Write in your language; she reads it in hers.
Chatki is a free browser chat with a free country filter and a women-only section you unlock with an email sign-up. WomChat costs money after a free trial, but it translates your written messages and matches you with women's profiles that went through passport-based verification. If price is all that matters, Chatki wins; if language and verification matter, read on.

Chatki (chatki.com) calls itself a free random video chat with strangers and claims to have run since 2013, based on its copyright line. Its terms name Small World Media LLC in Sheridan, Wyoming (USA) as operator, the same company name that appears in Camgo's and Chatrandom's terms. Users must be 18 or older.
Chatki's live site now blocks automated visits, so the facts here come from archived copies of its own pages from March 2026, with terms dated 23 January 2026. Treat them as "as of the latest archived copy".
Mostly, yes. Chatki's archived FAQ says it is "100% free for basic features" and that the country filter is free to use. That's a real advantage, and few sites in our video chat comparison give away country choice.
The January 2026 terms also allow for optional paid subscriptions that renew automatically, plus virtual Tokens and Gifts, all non-refundable except where the law requires it. The public pages don't say which features are paid or what they cost. So "free" is accurate for basic chat today, but not a promise that nothing will ever cost money.
Chatki's women-only option is the part most people searching for an alternative care about. The FAQ says that in the Girls section you'll only be shown women, and that it's free once you complete an "age verification".
That verification is an email confirmation: you enter an email, a username and a password, then click the link Chatki sends you. It confirms your inbox, not your age or identity, and it applies to you rather than to the women you meet. Chatki's terms say plainly that it doesn't run background checks or verify user identities, and doesn't pre-screen content.
Both are browser chats for adults. They differ on cost, language and how you reach women.

| Country choice | Free country filter | Not available; matching is random |
| Written translation | None mentioned | Automatic |
| Verification | Email confirmation; no identity checks | Women give passport details at registration |

Chatki's free country filter is useful when you share a language with the people in that country. It doesn't help when you don't. No page we read mentions any translation on Chatki, so a chat with someone who doesn't speak your language depends on gestures and guesswork.
On WomChat you write in your own language and your partner reads it in hers, while you see each other on camera. Voice isn't translated, so the usual rhythm is to talk, smile and type the parts that matter. Here's how a first exchange looks:
Hi! I'm Sam. Is it morning or evening for you?
Ciao! Sono Sam. Da te è mattina o sera?
Ciao Sam! È sera, sono appena tornata dal lavoro.
Long day? What do you do?
Giornata lunga? Che lavoro fai?
An honest comparison has to say this: if you want to spend nothing, Chatki is the more obvious choice. You also get to choose a country, which WomChat doesn't offer, and you can start basic chat without giving an email.
Chatki also markets itself around dating and flirting, while WomChat is a safe-for-work space where explicit content isn't allowed under our community rules. Decide which kind of space you want before you pick a site.
WomChat runs on a third-party video chat partner, which handles accounts, payments, matching and moderation. The free trial has limited access; after it you buy minutes or a Premium package, with prices shown inside the chat before you pay. Payments go to the partner, not to WomChat, and are charged in US dollars.
Before buying, check whether a plan renews automatically and how to switch it off. The partner says minutes you bought but didn't use can be refunded on request, while bonus and spent minutes can't. Our pricing page explains every step, and free vs paid video chat helps you decide whether paying is worth it for you.
If you're used to Chatki, the first steps will feel familiar. Start the chat at the top of this page:
